ਓਂਟਾਰੀਓ : ਵੈਕਸੀਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਓਂਟਾਰੀਓ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੋਰਡ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ । ਡੱਗ ਫੋਰਡ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਵੇਂ ਬਜਟ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ 3·7 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਸੀਨੀਅਰਜ਼ ਤੇ ਅਪਾਹਜ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਪਾਹਜ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਵੈਕਸੀਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਟਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਡਾ ਅੜਿੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਡੱਗ ਫੋਰਡ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਥੌਰਲਕਲਿੱਫ ਪਾਰਕ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਵੈਕਸੀਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਸੈਂਟਰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

ਫੋਰਡ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰੋਵਿੰਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਭ ਤੋਂ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਿਫਾਜ਼ਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਜਲਦ ਤੋਂ ਜਲਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੀਕਾਕਰਣ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਫੋਰਡ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ 2021 ਦੇ ਬਜਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਕਸੀਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਥਾਂਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜਣ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਵੈਕਸੀਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਫੰਡ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪੀਟਰ ਬੈਥਲਨਫਾਲਵੇ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਮ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਮੁੜ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਹੈਲਥ ਕੇਅਰ ਵਰਕਰਜ਼ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਸੈਂਟਰਜ਼, ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਫਿਸ, ਫਾਰਮੇਸੀਜ਼ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਵਿੰਸ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੈਕਸੀਨ ਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਾਫੀ ਆਸ ਬੱਝੀ ਹੈ। ਆਉਂਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਹਫ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਇਸਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ।
